Information about Intersema

Intersema Sensoric SA was founded in October 1998 in Bevaix, Switzerland as a 100% privately owned company. The company was started as a result of a management buy-out of the Sensor and Hybrid division of Micronas Semiconductor SA.

Intersema took over most of the division's employees and acquired all the know-how and equipment for the design and manufacturing of pressure sensors from the previous owner.

The development of the sensor technology started in the early 90's in cooperation with the famous 'Institute of Microtechnology' in Neuchâtel. Intersema continues to benefit from local technology and personnel resources in the 'Silicon Valley of Switzerland'.

The targets of the investors and the management are to establish Intersema as the world's leading supplier of high performance pressure sensor systems to customers in the consumer and commercial markets.

Substantial investments are being made in Personnel, R&D and Manufacturing to assure that the customer's highest expectations are met and to expand the current technology leadership for affordable high-quality pressure sensor systems.
