DESCRIPTION
The ZMD31014 RBicLite™ is a CMOS integrated circuit, for high accuracy amplificaiton and analog-to-digital conversion of a differential input signal. Perfect for low cost applications, the ZMD31014 can perform offset, span, and 1st and 2nd order temperature compensation of the measured signal. Developed for correction of resistive bridge sensors, the ZMD31014 can also provide a corrected temperature output through an internal or external sensor measurement.
FEATURES
- Digital compensation of sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature drift and non-linearity
- 8 programmable analog ain and digital gain settings; accomodates bridges with spans <1mV/V and high offset
- Internal or optional external temperature compensation
- Diagnostic features (e.g., EEPROM signature, bridge connection checks, bridge short detection)
- 32-bit customer ID field for module traceability
- Digital single-pass calibration via I2C - quick and precise
- Fast power-up to data output response: 3ms
- Current consumption depends on programmed sample rate; as low as 200 mA
- Low power standby mode (<2mA) available
- 2nd order charge-balancing analog-to-digital converter provides low noise, 14-bit data at sample rates exceeding 2kHz
- High accuracy (+/-0.1%FSO @ 0 to 70C; +/-0.25% FSO @ -40C to +125C)
BENEFITS
- Simple PC-controlled configuration and single-pass calibration via I2C interface saves time and cost
- Eliminates need for external trimming components
- Diagnostic features add safety to your application
- Low-power stand-by mode lengthens battery life
- Enables addressing of sensors for networking of multiple sensors
