New Alpha Instruments Capacitance Pressure Sensor Line Measures Pressure in Two Directions, From 0.10 Inches to 100 Inches of Water Column
August 1, 2008
Servoflo Corporation of Lexington, Massachusetts is pleased to announce representation of the Alpha Instruments pressure sensor line. Made in Massachusetts, Alpha Instruments offers capacitance-based pressure sensors which measure 0.10 inches to 100 inches of water column. All models have a bi-directional version, making them well-suited for applications where 2 directions of pressure need to be measured. Typical applications include HVAC applications, duct measurement, clean room control, fume hoods, critical containment enclosures, isolation rooms, and other building management applications.
The Alpha Instrument sensors come in a variety of package styles, including PC board mount, NEMA 1, NEMA 4, and din rail mounting types. Output options of the sensors include 0-5V, 0-10V, or 4-20 mA. In the voltage version, true zero can be achieved. Some units can be temperature-compensated to 0.01% of full-scale per degree F. The accuracy varies from 2% to 0.25% at room temperature. Alpha Instruments has a unique calibration method which allows users to have special pressure ranges for certain applications. For example, it is possible to create a range of -0.5" WC to +3.5" WC.
With a 15 PSI overpressure, the Alpha Instruments line not only offers flexbility in their usage, but also ruggedness and reliability. All models meet CE and RoHS conformance requirements.
