DESCRIPTION zmd31150a

ZMD31150 is a highly accurate, fast CMOS integrated circuit for amplification and correction of resistive bridge type sensors.  It digitally compensates offset, sensitivity, temperature drift and non-linearity through a 16-bit RISC micro-controller running a correction algorithm.

ZMD31150 accommodates virtually all resistive bridge sensor types, e.g. piezo-resistive, metal thin film, ceramic-thick film, etc. Measured values are output as either analog voltage or via one of the digital interfaces, ZACwire™ or I²C.

Calibration on the ZMD31150 is controlled by a simple
PC-controlled procedure that programs a set of calibration coefficients into the chip EEPROM.  Your specific sensor and ZMD31150 are mated digitally.  It’s simple, fast, precise - all without the costly overhead associated with trimming components.
 
The ZMD31150 is ideally suited for automotive applications due to it’s protection circuitry and excellent electromagnetic compatibility.
